A Rogue-like game is a game that has certain different characteristics to it that are generally considered for Rogue-like games. One is the randomized aspect that gives the replayability. Rogue-like games typically consist of games where the player has to clear a number of dungeons or locations while building their character up as they go. When a character dies, their developments typically also disappear along with them, which forces players to start all over.
